The State Department of Public Works was represented by its Principal Secretary, Prof. Paul Maringa at a Prize-giving ceremony at Ngaru Primary School on Saturday 23rd February 2019. Also in attendance was Ms. Maricella Adeji, Chairperson of the school’s alumni association and Bishop Robert Lumbasi (Life Source International Church). Several students received gifts and other items during the colorful function. The school is located in Kirinyaga County and has a student population of over 400 students. The school is headed by Mrs. Rosemary Kamau.
The State Department is also involved in refurbishment works at the school which include replacement of iron sheets, upgrading of the library and classrooms and construction of a new ablution block.
UPDATE on 10th May 2019
On PS Maringa and Hon John Munene Wambugu (MP Central Kirinyaga Constituency) revisited the School and inspected the completed refurbishment which was completed under the CDF programme.
